Bhurgeanchem Fest 2026 Begins at Fr. Agnel High School Pilar with Innovation, Fitness, and Creative Learning

The much-awaited Bhurgeanchem Fest 2026 commenced on a vibrant note on April 13 at Fr. Agnel High School, bringing together young talents from across Goa for a day filled with creativity, innovation, and holistic development.

The event began at 8:00 a.m. with a traditional inaugural ceremony, where Headmaster Fr. Pio Furtado lit the ceremonial lamp along with curator Dr. Gwendolyn de Ornelas and other dignitaries, symbolising the spirit of knowledge and enlightenment.

A key highlight of the morning session was an interactive Drone Camp conducted by Professor Carmelito Andrade, who introduced students to advanced drone technology through live demonstrations. The session generated significant enthusiasm, offering participants insight into emerging innovations.

The festival also promoted physical well-being with an energetic Zumba session led by Sheryl Vas, encouraging students to adopt active lifestyles. Adding to this, Sunny Dsouza delivered an informative talk on the importance of nutrition and its role in overall health and performance.

Post a short break, the campus turned into a hub of diverse activities as students engaged in classroom-based sessions aligned with their interests. With guidance from resource persons and volunteers, participants explored areas such as arts, street plays, educational workshops, boxing, football, and more—enhancing both skills and teamwork.

Expressing his satisfaction with the successful launch, Fr. Pio Furtado praised the enthusiasm of students and the commitment of the organising team. He also shared optimism for the upcoming sessions, inviting participants to Day 2 on April 15, which promises an even more exciting schedule starting at 8:00 a.m.
