Investigators probing the murder of 25-year-old Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal have uncovered another connection between the two accused, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary. Police have found that the duo were seen together at a Market Yard Friends Cricket League (MFCL) match before the alleged murder, strengthening the timeline of their association.
According to investigators, Chetan, an active cricket player, participated in matches alongside Siya’s elder brother, Sahil Goyal. Police believe Siya frequently attended these games to support her brother, where she first became acquainted with Chetan. Officials suspect the two later reconnected, and this relationship is now a key focus of the investigation.

As part of the ongoing probe, police on Saturday questioned Siya’s parents, Pravin and Puja Goyal, along with her brother Sahil, at the Lonavala Rural Police Station. Sahil had earlier been interrogated for more than 10 hours before being released. Investigators are recording statements from family members to establish further details surrounding the case.
Siya Goyal, 20, and Chetan Chaudhary, 22, have been accused of murdering Ketan Agarwal by allegedly pushing him off a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune’s Maval taluka on June 18. Police claim Siya was engaged to Ketan and the couple were scheduled to marry in November. However, investigators allege she did not wish to proceed with the marriage and, along with Chetan, conspired to eliminate him.
The investigation has also revealed that the accused allegedly deleted their phone conversations and cleared recycle bins before and after the crime. Their mobile devices have been sent for forensic examination in an attempt to recover deleted data.
Police further allege that the pair met at a café on the day of the incident to finalise their plan and selected the exact location at Lohagad Fort where the crime would take place. Meanwhile, residents of Belmondo Housing Society in Gahunje, where Ketan lived, have organised a candlelight vigil demanding justice for the deceased.
