Birch Nightclub Owner Moves High Court to De-Seal Premises, Cites Surendra Khosla’s Ill Health

Vijayalakshmi Khosla has approached the High Court seeking to de-seal and reopen the premises where Birch nightclub operated, while also requesting that legal rights related to the property be vested in her due to Surendra Khosla’s ill health.

Panjim: Vijayalakshmi Khosla, the owner of the premises where the Birch nightclub was operating, has approached the High Court seeking permission to de-seal and reopen the property.

In her petition, Vijayalakshmi Khosla, wife of Surendra Kumar Khosla, has also requested the court to vest all legal rights relating to the property and the ongoing proceedings in her name. The plea cites the deteriorating health of Surendra Khosla as the reason for seeking the transfer of legal authority.

According to the petition, Vijayalakshmi Khosla is seeking to assume responsibility for all legal matters connected to the property, including the pending litigation before the court.

The matter is expected to be heard along with the related suo motu Public Interest Litigation (PIL) concerning the case.

The High Court is likely to consider both matters together during the upcoming hearing.
