MARGAO: Under Secretary of Public Grievances Department Shaila Bhosle has directed the Director General of Police and Director of Panchayats to investigate into the complaint lodged by Calvert Gonsalves a resident of Sernabatim against the Seraulim panchayat secretary and submit the compliance report within three weeks.
As per Calvert’s complaint, he had visited the Seraulim panchayat on September 18 to have a look at the draft Regional Plan, which was supposed to be displayed by the panchayat. However, the plan was not displayed in the panchayat and the Secretary Priscilla Niasso e Noronha refused to show the plan and allegedly spoke rudely and arrogantly.
His stand was that he had gone to see a public document at a public place where a public servant not only refused to help him but spoke rudely. Incensed with the panchayat secretary’s behaviour, Calvert lodged complaints with various departments including the Public Grievances Department.
The Under Secretary Public Grievances Department Shaila Bhosle has asked both the Director General of Police and Director of Panchayats to investigate into the complaint and take appropriate action in the matter and inform Calvert about the action taken within 3 weeks.
