The family is a holy place indeed! God is born anew in every child that is born out of love and every family is the unexpected place where God dwells. God’s seed in us becomes God, and all that happens in the living room and kitchen of every family.
Life is precious and a family is one of the greatest gifts a human being can receive. It is a bond beyond common goals common interests or common histories, it’s a unity of souls and gives nobility and sincerity of love. A family makes all of life shine brightly blessed are those who lay down their life’s for their families. The family is a very human institution but also the garden of God’s grace a place where great sanctity keeps blooming and a place where living and loving makes Christ visible to each one of us in a special way. And it’s there we hear the voice of God always saying to us in and through one another “you matter to me. My family is all I have where I can celebrate and taste the joy of being born in the world and the joy of being alive knowing that there are no extra people in the world, ‘We’ are created to be someone great to be on mission and on service to make this world a heaven on earth and we start doing that in the family we are born into.
Family is where humility and God touches. Where is the family supposed to lead us? It is the family that journeys with each one of us that helps us find God and our source from where we came from and to whom we go to, helps us find new encouragement and helps us to love with trust with hope and specially with an always deep love opening to us new space in our hearts space of hope in a world that can be very discouraging and hopeless.
Today in most families God is edited out when we place God in the centre of our family no moment is merely human or worldly but rather a place of grace every threshold a door to heaven, FAMILY IS INDEED A HOLY PLACE.
We are blessed with Pope Francis who especially today when Family is supposed to lead us to hold us and to treasure us is becoming a place where so much of disunity is creating hell on earth keeps reminding us of the sacredness of family.
There is no such thing as a “broken family.” Family is family, and is not determined by marriage certificates, divorce papers and adoption documents. Families are made in the heart. The only time family becomes null is when those ties in the heart are cut. If you cut those ties, those people are not your family. If you make those ties, those people are your family. And if you hate those ties, those people will still be your family because whatever you hate will always be with you.”
May god-loving embrace encircle you in His love and your family…specially those of you who are staring a new family and those of you who are struggling, hold fast to all that brings you joy peace and unity, spend beautiful times together. May you know Jesus, Mary and Joseph is with you, leading you and loved you. We have in God our peace and our reward when the fight is fought and the journey is done ‘HEAVEN’.
