This year the institute will take 40 students and this is expected to eventually go up to 120 students. Affiliated to the Goa University and with an academic collaboration with the Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland, the institute offers a BSc in International Hospitality Management. The institute has forged a strategic tie-up with the international hospitality chain, the Marriott Group for knowledge sharing and training purposes. 90 in the first year and 75 credits each in the second and third year. The three year full time program offers a total of 240 credits, 90 in the first year and 75 credits each in the second and third year. Students from around the country and the UAE are expected to be part of the first batch. For those from the Raia who are interested in studying at the institute a 40% discount will be provided. Others are expected to shell out Rs 3.6 lakh every semester.
V M Salgaocar offering hospitality education in Goa
PANJIM: The V M Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE) will commence operations on July 21 and will offer a three year course to students interested in developing a career in the hospitality industry.
