Teens are underestimated

The teens of today are the pillars of modern society. They are much bolder and stronger than anyone else. They are much more aware of what’s going on around them much faster. They are the true essence of society ~ the youth of today are talented. Unfortunately they are underestimated and their talent is overlooked. There are young teens that have their own bands; their quality of work is no different from the professionals. They know what they are doing. The music, the co-ordination of the members of the band is something professionals should learn.
There are young photographers ~ the way they see the simplest of simple objects through their lens can never be seen by the ordinary eye. They define magic in lifeless objects. They make the unseen, the unnoticeable catch the eye of people like you and me.

Teens have a great potential for creativity ~ among them are poets, scriptwriters, cartoonists, artists, analysts et al. They have also been participating in fashion shows, and have made a mark there. Their creativity is seen through the concepts chosen, the costumes selected, especially their narrative skills.
Teenagers, through the medium of dance and fashion shows create an awareness among people about various important issues affecting society. I was a participant at the all India Inter collegiate youth fest, ‘India fest’, where I witnessed with awe the Law of Dispersion of light, commonly known as the origin of the rainbow, through a fashion show during the Goa zonals.
Not much later at yet another cultural event “En Sparque” one college portrayed the various professions youth have excelled in; another college cleverly highlighted the various avatars that exist in society. This was accompanied by perfect narration. The narrator highlighted the negative changing avatars of the 21st century ~ how wrongly one can judge and label society at face value ~ by looking just at the surface, contributing thus to great disaster. We have also observed the intelligence of teenagers and how well versed they are in current affairs and issues affecting society. The views expressed by them was worth appreciating
And, a few days later, a college portrayed the Delhi rape case through the medium of dance at “Tatva” yet another inter collegiate event. Truly they deserved a standing ovation.
Teens have remarkable talent. If given a chance to govern India, I am sure they will do a better job.
