Union Agriculture Minister crossed all levels of insensitivity when he innovated altogether new excuses to hide weakness of the system by assigning impotency, barrenness, love-affairs, dowry- disputes etc being major reasons for farmers’ suicide in the country, rather than loans and crop-damage. It is significant that while being in opposition, the minister never dreamt of such being the reasons for farmers’ suicide. It is beyond understanding how our politicians get themselves changed soon after coming to power.
Prime Minister as head of family of his ministers should break his silence to console people’s sentiments through such insensitive comments of his ministers.
