In a shocking case that has rattled Madhya Pradesh’s capital, two sisters from Bhopal have been arrested on charges of rape, forced religious conversion, and allegedly operating a sex racket by luring vulnerable young women with false job promises.
The accused, Amreen and Afreen, were detained by police along with their associate Chandan Yadav after two women — aged 21 and 32 — filed separate but strikingly similar complaints at Bagh Sewania police station on Sunday night. Three other accused, identified as Bilal, Chanu, and Yasir, are currently absconding.

According to police sources, the sisters previously resided in a modest dwelling in Abbas Nagar before recently relocating to an upscale villa in Sagar Royal Villas in Bhopal. Investigators suspect that the move was funded through illegal proceeds allegedly earned by exploiting young women.
Officials stated that the accused primarily targeted girls from economically weaker sections, offering them domestic work with a monthly salary of Rs 10,000, along with free accommodation, food, and what was described as a “high-profile lifestyle.”
Police are continuing their investigation to trace the absconding accused and determine the full extent of the alleged racket.
