Four people, including a woman and her teenage son, were killed after their car plunged into a deep gorge near Jani village in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh, police said on Saturday. One occupant sustained serious injuries and remains in critical condition.
According to Superintendent of Police Sushil Kumar, the accident was reported around 9.20 am. Rescue teams, along with local residents, rushed to the scene and retrieved the bodies from the gorge while evacuating the injured person.

The deceased were identified as Krishna (42), her son Himesh Kumar (19), Sushma (47) and Inder Lal (30). The injured, Vidya Krishan (32), was shifted to JSW Hospital in Tapri for treatment.
Police have registered a case and ordered a post-mortem examination.
