Trump Urges EU to Impose 100% Tariffs on India and China Over Russian Oil Purchases

Former US President Donald Trump has reportedly urged European Union officials to levy tariffs of up to 100% on India and China as part of a strategy to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Reuters.

Both China and India are significant purchasers of Russian oil, a factor influencing the proposed measures. Currently, the United States has imposed 50% tariffs on India, including a 25% penalty tariff linked to India’s purchase of Russian crude.
