CURCHOREM: Curchorem Police recovered two bodies from the jungles in Antorem-Dadhem, Sanvordem, on Saturday.
According to Curchorem Police, the male is suspected to be between 32 and 40 years and the female is in late twenties.
Police said the two bodies were in highly decomposed state in the jungles about 100 metres away from railway track.
Police further informed that the incident came to light when Shanker Gogle, a contractor from Sanguem, along with a labourer had gone to the jungle to cut bamboo sticks.
Police rushed to the site and conducted the panchanama and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
So far, no one came forward to identify the bodies, but police suspect that the deceased may be non-Goans labourers.
Police also said a poison bottle was also found near the bodies and the exact cause of death will be known only after post-mortem is conducted.
Police is investigating the case under the supervision of Curchorem PI Siddhant Shirodkar.
