Several electricity poles and wires were also damaged at Pilgao. Locals were without electricity in the morning. Trees also fell on the road at Surla, Pali, Van-Maulinguem and Shirgao, hindering the smooth flow of traffic. Fire personnel later cleared the debris.
The heavy rains subsided only in the evening and gave much-needed relief to the public.
