According to Valpoi fire personnel, a house in Charvanem had its tin roof blown off due to strong winds. Rainwater subsequently entered the house and damaged the TV and other items. A house at Gaonkarwada Bhipal was damaged after a jackfruit tree fell on it, while a house in Khadki was damaged by two trees. Valpoi fire personnel cleared away the debris and managed to save property of Rs 2 lakh.
Traffic was also severely hampered in some parts of the village due to uprooted trees. The Valpoi-Thana road was also submerged at the Koparde junction. After being blocked for two hours, traffic was diverted through Koparde village.
