2021-22 class IX and XI students to be assessed all over the year

PANJIM: From the upcoming Academic Year 2021-22, the students of Class IX and XI will be evaluated throughout the term. The students will have to compulsorily answer two tests of 20 marks each, instead of one, during each of the term along with periodic tests of 10 marks each in every subject that will ease the assessment process.

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has decided to do away with the semester examination concept for Class IX and XI, making quarterly and periodic tests mandatory for the students. There will be also assignment of ten marks each for each of the two terms. A aggregate of 33 per cent would be considered for promotion to next class.
