MARGAO: Colva Police on Saturday in a raid arrested three pimps while handing over three girls for the prospective customers for prostitution purpose.

Police said that after conducting legal formalities the three victim girls from different States were rescued and send to protective home at Merces for care and protection and their statements have been recorded.
Based on the State complaint, police have registered an offence under Section 370 of IPC and 4 and 5 of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
Police said that the three alleged accused persons procured the victim girls from other States and were supplying them to prospective customers at Colva for the purpose of prostitution and were living on their earnings. Further investigation is in progress.
