3 MPLAD projects for Margao

MARGAO: South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha went on a project inauguration spree on Sunday, inaugurating as many as three major projects worth over Rs 50 lakh in the commercial capital under the MPLAD scheme.

MARGAO: South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha went on a project inauguration spree on Sunday, inaugurating as many as three major projects worth over Rs 50 lakh in the commercial capital under the MPLAD scheme.
The ambitious Hospicio-Monte Hill Chapel steps and beautification project finally saw light of the day on Sunday evening when the MP inaugurated the project at a cost of Rs 29 lakh in the presence of MMC Chairperson Dayanand Deulkar, MMC present and former councillors and citizens.
While accepting the appreciation from the people around for completing the Hospicio-Monte Hill Steps project, the MP has promised to sanction additional funds to install additional benches at the project site. 
Earlier, at a function held at the Margao Municipal hall, Sardinha inaugurated the CCTV camera project in Margao costing Rs 18 lakh. While around seven cameras stand installed under the project, the remaining 30 cameras will fall in place in a phased manner, Sardinha said. “The CCTV cameras will help keep anti-social elements and criminals at bay,” he stated.
