PANJIM: Nearly 31 senior and junior scale civil service offices, three mamlatdars, there senior police officers and secretaries of different village panchayats are deputed at their present place of position for over three years with a few as old as eight years to the post.
A reply tabled on the floor of the House revealed that officials/officers from various departments like Home, Tourism, Mines, Education, Goa State Pollution control Board, Finance, Collectorate have not been transferred for over three years. Mines and Geology Director Prasanna Acharya, Director of Art & Culture Prasad Lolienkar, Excise Commissioner Menino D’Souza, MD GTDC Nikhil Desai, Joint Secretary to Deputy CM Anthony D’Souza, undersecretary in the office of Minister for Industries Umeshchandra Joshi, Deputy Resident Commissioner, Goa Sadan, New Delhi Valsala Vijayan are amongst many others
