PANJIM: Superintendent of Police (SP) Arvind Gawas is among four police officers/personnel who will be conferred with awards on the Independence Day. Gawas (IPS), who is presently serving as South Goa SP, will be awarded with President’s Medal for Distinguished Service while Deputy SP Dharmesh Angle, Assistant Sub Inspector Dattaram Naik and Head Constable Sunil Falkar will be awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Before being promoted to IPS, Gawas was also awarded with Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2013.
