PONDA: In a bid to enforce discipline among staff and daily wage workers, Ponda Municipal Council Administrator Narayan Navti recently removed seven contract workers, employed to look after garbage management, for dereliction of duty.

“I randomly visit several points in the city and the seven contract workers were missing from the places assigned to them to manage garbage. There has to be dedication to work and I am not going to tolerate any mischief,” added Navti.

“I even check attendance of the employees to see to it that the employees attend and leave on time. I also conduct surprise checks in each department,” said Navti.
