AAP Navelim, led by Siddesh Bhagat along with Navelim Sarpanch Denny, has raised serious concerns over the deteriorating condition of roads in the village, particularly in areas affected by unsafe cabling work. The leaders have demanded urgent repairs, highlighting the risk of accidents and potential disasters during the monsoon.
“Despite ₹89 crore being sanctioned for infrastructure development, the roads remain in a dangerous state,” said Bhagat, accusing authorities of neglect and inaction.
The duo stressed that exposed trenches, uneven surfaces, and incomplete cabling projects have already led to mishaps, and the situation could worsen with heavy rains around the corner. They urged the Public Works Department (PWD) and relevant agencies to immediately address the hazards and ensure that the funds are properly utilized for public safety.
With monsoon season fast approaching, residents and local leaders are demanding swift intervention to avoid further accidents and ensure the roads are safe and motorable.
