The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday announced its second list of candidates for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections, raising its total declared candidates to 22 of the 50 seats. Party leaders said the list underscores AAP’s focus on grassroots workers and first-time contestants active in community service.
The new nominees are Pujan Malvankar (Anjuna), Carol Fernandes (Calangute), Arvind Tendulkar (Penha de Franca), Ujjwala Naik (St Lawrence), Avinash Jadhav (Querim), Sarita Panjikar (Veling-Priol), Clena Fernandes (Curtorim) and Joseph Pixote (Guirdolim).

AAP leaders said the party would contest the ZP polls on issues including healthcare, transparent governance, youth welfare, anti-corruption measures and grassroots development, expressing hope for strong public support for its people-centric agenda.
The first list was released on November 17, signalling a stronger grassroots push ahead of the polls, which are expected to shape rural governance and prompt parties to project locally influential leaders.
