PANJIM: South Goa District Judge-2 and Additional Sessions Judge Dvijple V Patkar has been appointed as President of the Goa Administrative Tribunal, Panjim on deputation basis, with effect from the date she takes over the charge and till the post of the President if filled up on regular basis.
The order in this effect was issued on Monday by Under Secretary (Law and Establishment) Amir Y Parab, on the recommendation of the High Court of Bombay.
The post of the President of the Goa Administrative Tribunal had fallen vacant after the retirement of Rajesh Narvekar in July this year.
Later the State government tried to fill up the post by inviting applications but all 23 candidates who had appeared for interview were found unsuitable. The government is now in the process to re-advertise for the post.
