VASCO: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday said the Centre is helping in exploring blue economic activities in Goa such as ship building, fishing etc.
Speaking at the 50th anniversary of the MES College Zuarinagar, he said various pro-educational activities have been undertaken by the government.
He felicitated the college senior teaching staff on the occasion. He said the institution has contributed in a great way in producing human resources for Goa and for the nation. Many got an opportunity to study and pursue their graduation in this institution and many are employed.
On the maritime sector, the CM said “Recently the first maritime cluster started in India. It is pleasure that we managed to bring the first maritime cluster in Goa. Students who are passing out will have bright future in the maritime cluster in Goa.”
“The private partner should also invest in the blue economy so that in future it will benefit us, he said.
He said, “Recently the Private University Bill was passed and three universities will come up in the State soon. We have opened ways for the students to learn.”
