PANJIM: As a part of its regular security guidelines for the cyber cafes, the North Goa District Magistrate has directed owners and operators of all the cyber cafes in its jurisdiction to prohibit any person whose identity has not been established.
The advisory also states that a register will have to be maintained for identity of each visitor/user in the Cyber Café and get the latter’s visiting time, name, residential address, telephone number and identity proof in its own handwriting. The visitor/user should also sign the register kept for this purpose. In another order, the District Magistrate has ordered verification of tenants and guests.
