AICC secretary Chella Kumar to be in Goa on three-day visit

PANJIM: All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary and Goa desk in-charge Dr Chella Kumar is arriving in Goa on Saturday on a three-day visit to kick start preparations for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election, due in 2019. 
Congress President Girish Chodankar said that Chella Kumar is coming as a part of preparations for the ensuing parliamentary elections. “He will meet Congress leaders, office bearers in order to elicit their views on how to strengthen the party further,” he said. 
On Saturday, post arrival, AICC secretary will hold interaction session with the members of the Congress media cell in the morning, following by meetings with NSUI, Seva Dal, Mahila Congress. 
Dr Chella Kumar will hold meeting with the members of North Goa district in Mapusa office in the evening. On August 26, the Congress leader will interact with Block congress committees at Pernem, Bicholim and Priol, while on August 27, meetings are scheduled with members of Sanguem, Sanvordem and Curchorem.
