PONDA: Fifteen members of a family at Tale Adkon in Ponda had a lucky escape when a huge boulder came rolling down before stopping a distance of 12 metres away from their house late Saturday evening.
According to police sources, the incident occurred when an excavator (machine) was extracting mud atop the hill near the residence.
The labourers engaged in the work fled from the spot fearing the villagers.
Later, the agitated villagers lodged a police complaint with Ponda Police, who directed the contractor to remove the boulder from the site.
