Parrikar’s passing away is a great loss to the people of Goa. As the Chief Minister of Goa, he showed great acumen in the political administration of the State and was always considerate towards the developmental needs of the people of this land. Over the decades he emerged as a leader of national importance, having served the nation as the Union Defence Minister through a difficult period of time. His contribution for the development of the State and of the Nation will be remembered for long years to come.
May the Almighty reward him generously and grant him everlasting peace.
