VASCO: South Goa LS candidate of Congress, Francisco Sardinha assured to take up issues of coal pollution at MPT, garbage dumping at Sada, nationalisation of rivers of Goa and other issues if he wins the election.
He claimed that the people of Goa will support Congress this time looking at the unethical politics of BJP. Speaking to the media persons, Sardinha said that BJP has failed in resolving issues such as mining, formalin, nationalisation of rivers, employment and so on.
He claimed that the development mantra of BJP has been over exaggerated whereas in reality not much change is seen in reality. Sardinha opined that if he comes to power then he will take local people into confidence over coal pollution issue and will try to come up with solution. Health of the locals along with the business is equally important he added.
He said formalin issue was not solved by BJP govt. MP could have come up with solution to this issue which was not done by BJP, Sardinha said.
When asked about mining issue, Sardinha stated that mining issue was not solved by BJP and people were only given promises. When mining dependents went to meet PM Modi, BJP MP failed to get an appointment to address the issue, he added.
Sardinha said many people suffered due to GST and demonetisation. He said people of Goa have witnessed the unethical politics of BJP. To protect secularism and unity of the nation, people will vote for Congress, he added.
