margao: Villagers of Seraulim held their awareness programme on Sunday, the day the village church celebrated the feast of St Sebastian. It may be recalled that the authorities had stopped the same programme earlier with a strong police force descending upon the site.

The programme titled Save Goa was compered by Cebina D’Souza in English and Cresento Fernandes in Konkani and had ‘Our Goa No Coal’ as its caption. Parish Priest Fr Benjamin Sacrafamilia was present. Zeferino Fernandes gave a presentation with a slide slow, Vincent Fernandes who lives next to the railway tracks shared his experiences and a skit directed by Marcus D’Souza was presented.
