VASCO: Breaking its silence on the repeated attacks by State Congress President Luizinho Faleiro, the South Goa BJP General Secretary Jayant Jadhav slammed Faleiro for misguiding the State and providing half-cooked information about the Goan economy.
Addressing the media in Vasco on Tuesday, Jadhav said, “First of all, Faleiro should have control over his language as he cannot say that BJP government is giving alms to the people. Using such words is an insult to Goa and Goans. Also, he should reply as to why his Congress government waived off electricity dues worth lakhs of rupees of Kersarval hotel owned by him.” Jadhav also demanded an inquiry into the waiver.
Replying to Faleiro’s statement accusing the BJP government of creating a facade of satisfaction among the people through several doles, Jadhav said, “People of Goa know that Congress is to be blamed for the closure of mining due to which the State faced a financial issue. Despite this financial issue, the JP government managed to give Rs 1000 crores to the people.”
through these schemes in the last three years which was not done by the Congress government,” he said.
