PANJIM: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President and Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade hinted of a cabinet reshuffle.
Tanavade said that the issue is being discussed for many months and the decision is to be taken by the central leaders of the party and the Chief Minister.
“In coming day, there will be internal polls within the organisation and the core teams have scheduled meetings regarding the same. We will be able to complete all polls to our mandals, as well as the zilla level polls,” he added.
When reporters questioned Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar if he was ready to accept any ministry if offered, he stated that it would decided by the Chief Minister or the central leadership of the party.
However, when queried further, Tawadkar said, ” I have no idea. There is no point in discussing the matter repeatedly. If you ask the party president and you will get more details.”
When he was asked to comment on the duration of the upcoming assembly session, the Speaker said it was decided by the state cabinet.
“What I feel is not important. My job is to conduct proceedings of the house. Duration is decided by the state cabinet,” he said.
