PANJIM: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa will organise a ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi Abhiyan’ (attainment to resolve movement) from Wednesday and will continue it till August 30. The programme at the booth, mandal and district level comes following a call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and directions of BJP National President Amit Shah to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Quit India Movement.
“The movement was also known as August Kranti Movement (Bharat Chhodo) launched on August 9, 1942, as a campaign of Sankalp Se Siddhi (attainment through resolve) for 9th August 2017. Under this campaign every Indian, including political parties, local self-governments, socio-cultural institutions, educational institutions and various organisations should take some kind of resolve to attain ‘New India – Attainment through Resolve’ in 2022, when India will complete 75 years of Independence,” says a statement issued by the BJP General Secretary Sadanand Shet Tanawde.
The schedule of the program was discussed at a meeting of the State Office Bearers, Committee members, Mandal President and General Secretaries and Morcha Pramukhs in Panjim on Tuesday.
At the meeting State Party President Vinay Tendulkar was felicitated by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on being elected to the Rajya Sabha. The meeting also congratulated Ramnath Kovind and Venkaiah Naidu on being elected as President and Vice-President of India respectively.
