MAPUSA: The body of Arjun Kumar, a Uttar Pradesh who drowned after a heavy wave dragged him inside the sea while taking a selfie at Vagator beach was fished out yesterday.
The youth had come down on a holiday along with two others on Sunday and had gone to the beach and started taking selfies. The trio were then asked by the lifeguards to get down from the rock but they refused to ignore the instructions. A huge wave then dragged two of them into the sea. A rescue operation was immediately conducted by the lifeguards who managed to save one Balinder Kushar Prasad (25), who apparently was the brother-in-law of the deceased who had gone missing.
