ANJUNA: a Body of a male foreigner was found floating in the sea water at Anjuna Beach on Wednesday morning. Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are trying to find out the identity of the deceased.
According to the Investigating Officer, Harish Vaigankar, at 9.00 am locals called and informed them that a body was spotted at Anjuna beach. “The locals removed the body from the water. A team of police staff rushed to the spot and conducted panchnama. During the personal search carried out, only an identity card was found in possession of the deceased with his name mentioned as Lee Andrew. Besides his name and age, 32 years there was no mention of any other details,” he said.
The police suspect that this is a case of drowning. The body has been sent to the morgue at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim for preservation. A case of unnatural death has been registered and further inquiry is in progress.
