MARGAO: The South Zone of the Department of Tourism in Margao has recommended filing an FIR against the unknown owner of a bull that attacked a foreign national at Benaulim beach last week.
Deputy Director of Tourism Dheeraj Wagle stated that after the incident reported on January 11, he met the injured woman in a private hospital in Margao, where she was undergoing treatment, and recorded her statement the next day. She explained that the incident occurred while she was on a beach walk, and as stray dogs chased a bull, it collided with her, causing a groin injury.

According to Wagle, the woman considered the incident as an accident by an animal and did not wish to pursue the case. But I have filed a written complaint with the Colva police station in this regard,” he added.
British national Yvonne Morrish, 79, hailing from Gatwik, England, has been visiting Goa for the last 20 years and was staying in a hotel at Benaulim. Since her arrival in Goa on January 2, she used to regularly walk along the beach. She was discharged from the private hospital on Wednesday.
