MAPUSA: In an email to the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA), Calangute Constituency Forum President Premanand Diukar has complained of the destruction of beach vegetation and sand dunes near a resort at Khobravaddo-Calangute.

In the mail addressed to the GCZMA member secretary, Diukar stated that taking advantage of the lockdown in the State to fight COVID-19, the activity to destroy the beach vegetation and sand dunes has been carried out illegally near a resort at Khobravaddo-Calangute.
Diukar has urged the GCZMA to take immediate action to save the environment under Environment Protection Act 1986.
