PANJIM: A chain-snatching gang targeted a woman pedestrian, late Tuesday evening, and snatched her gold magalsutra worth Rs 1.20 lakh.
Sajana Naik Uskaikar from Caranzalem complained that two unidentified bikers robbed her near the Rosary School ground, Mira Mar. Police has registered an FIR and investigation is ongoing to identify the robbers.
In another incident, a resident of Caranzalem Sameet Harmalkar, has complained that he was thrashed at a Panjim petrol pump on Monday night. The Panjim police said unknown rider of Activa scooter 7060 (full registration not known) trespassed into the office of the petrol pump and assaulted Harmalkar with blows.
Police have registered a case in this regard.
