PANJIM: The State recorded yet another COVID-19 death on Sunday. A 67-year-old male patient from Chimbel, admitted to ESI Hospital with co-morbid condition, succumbed to the virus taking the total deaths to 22.
As surge in COVID-19 cases continues, Goa’s
single day recoveries outnumbered fresh cases on Sunday.
As per the Health Bulletin released by the Health Department late Sunday evening, 180 positive patients recovered while 173 samples were tested positive.
This takes the total Active cases to 1417 while 2218 patients have recovered. A total of 3657 Confirmed cases are reported as on Sunday.
At present, 39 persons are kept in isolation wards while 180 persons are quarantiend across various Residencies/ hotels.
With lockdown in Mormugao taluka to continue in wake of increase in cases, a total of 294 cases are reported in Vasco, an increase by 22 cases from Saturday.
