Chinchinim villagers slam power outages, demand urgent action

Frequent power outages and the long delays in attending to power shutdowns in the village, was one of the main topics of discussions at Chinchinim–Deussua village panchayat gram sabha.

Irate villagers explained how they get a poor response from the Electricity Department whenever they complain about the regular outages and expressed their frustration over not just dealing with the amount of time the Department takes to respond but then having to give directions to the Department officials, if they do send staff as otherwise they are unable to send staff due to staff shortage. They also complained how they made to run from pillar to post over such complaints with no immediate solution in sight.
