PONDA: The Ponda Christmas Festival Committee will organise a variety of programmes to celebrate the Christmas Celebration Week, including a crib competition, tiatrs, dramas, and cultural performances.
On Christmas Day, December 25, a crib competition will take place. The day’s programme will also feature a performance by the ‘Parishioners Band’ of Mount Carmel. The celebration continues on December 26 with a Konkani tiatr titled ‘Mogal’ by John D’Silva. On December 27, a programme by Catechism children will be showcased. On December 28, Alexin De Morjim’s tiatr ‘Bara Brestar Tera Sukrar’ will be performed. Further events include carol singing and folk dancing on December 29, followed by a mando and youth programme on December 30. On January 1, the festival will feature the the Konkani natak Gaav Zalo Zanto.
