In Ponda we often come across choked drains and creeks at different locations all over the town.
The situation turns unhygienic for the lives of pedestrians and travellers proceeding along different routes.
During the pre-monsoon works taken up in hand, it is absolutely necessary that the drains lying in a pitiful condition are cleared on a priority basis, so that rain water flows smoothly without hindrance of any sort.
Seen in the picture is a creek filled with garbage adjacent to petrol pump at Kaziwada, in Ponda.
Let us hope that the Ponda Municipal Council as a competent authority would take a serious note of this matter and arrange prompt clearance of garbage and other waste material from this creek at the earliest without any further delay.
Creeks in other location as well also need prompt attention.
No doubt, hygienic conditions must be assured at all costs.
