A traffic signboard, which has been covered with the leaves of an adjoining tree near Public Works Department (PWD-Water Division), at Daag area, Ponda, is leaving the commuters unaware of a sharp turn ahead while travelling along this strategic route.
In the initial stages, the signboard was installed for informing the motorists about the existence of a sharp turn at this critical spot. However, the same tends to be useless in serving its basic purpose.
Hence, there is every possibility of accidents taking place and resulting in disastrous consequences. For quite long, this important matter has remained neglected.
Let us hope that the concerned authorities would chop the branches of the concerned tree so that the travellers are assured a clear view of this particular signboard. No doubt, public at large must be assured safety at all costs.
