KTC buses too indulge in lane cutting at Zuari Bridge

Recently, the traffic at the Zuari Bridge experienced a massive jam which lasted for almost six hours. Many missed the flight as they could not reach the Dabolim Airport in time. There was a hue and cry as the commuters had to go through a harrowing time due to the traffic chaos. The blame was put on the drivers who cut the lanes thereby preventing the smooth flow of traffic along the approach roads to the bridge.
This has prompted the government to take a decision to install CCTV cameras so those vehicular drivers who cut the lane are booked. However, it is observed that even the buses belonging to the State-owned Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) indulge in lane cutting. (The KTC bus in the photo came in front through the road shoulder and is trying to cut into the lane by displacing another car from the lane). It is true that the buses need to reach at the bus-stand in time. But by cutting lanes these buses are posing problems to other road users. The KTC drivers should be advised to refrain from jumping the lane.
