Complaint against police inspector

A resident of Utorda-Majorda Joao C Pereira has filed a complaint with Lokayukta against Police Inspector Edwin Colaco for allegedly holding Portuguese citizenship.

PANJIM: The foreign citizenship issue has reached the office of the Goa Lokayukta.

Sources revealed that Pereira has alleged that PI Colaco had acquired Portuguese citizenship in 2008 by concealing the fact from his superiors while in service with the Goa Police Department.

“He provided false, incorrect and misleading facts to get Portuguese citizenship,” he said in his complaint. Colaco has also submitted documents seeking to prove his allegation against the PI.
