CoP had permissions for jetty work: CCP

CCP Commissioner Sanjit Rodrigues Friday told the council that the Captain of Ports had all the permissions for the work it was doing at its jetty ~ while he had written to the Tourism Department asking for their documents.

Work is going on at two jetties with the jurisdiction of the CCP.

Earlier, CCP mayor Surendra Furtado had sent a note to the Commissioner directing him to issue a notice to the Captain of Ports to immediately ask him to stop work between 10 pm and 6 am at the Panjim jetty, arguing that it was in contempt of the Supreme Court order which does not allow work within the city limits to be carried out between those hours.
