MAPUSA: A partially decomposed carcass of a crocodile was found in a low lying area at Colvale.
According to locals, they noticed the partially decomposed carcass tied to a tree. Locals suspect that the crocodile was killed with a sharp weapon and later tied to a tree. After receiving information on the carcass, members of Animal Rescue team and the Forest Dept officials rushed to the spot. A team of Veterinary Dept comprising of Assistant Director Dr Prakash Korgaonkar & Dr Natasha Asolkar conducted the panchanama.
