QUEPEM: The pre-monsoon work of laying new water pipeline at Dando faced a set-back after all the works were washed down by Cyclone Tauktae damaging the work situated in the Sanguem market.
It may be recalled that Sanguem Deputy Collector Sagar Gawade said that the road would be completed by May 15, when he was asked a week ago.
Despite the local complaining about the unfinished work, the repair work continues to be delayed further. Moreover, with the damaged caused by the cyclone, the condition has become worse causing hazard to the people commuting.
“I have already chaired a meeting with the PWD and the other responsible department to discuss the present situation regarding the on-going works of the new water pipeline,” Sagar informed.
He further assured that the road will be restored by the responsible department as soon as possible.
