VASCO: A suspected case of dengue appears to have claimed the life of 37-year-old Ajit Sadguru Pednekar, a resident of Mercesvado Vasco. Pednekar was undergoing medical treatment for the past 12 days, but his health deteriorated and breathed his last on Sunday morning.
According to sources, Ajit was admitted to a private hospital after he complained of high fever. After few days he was shifted to GMC where he was undergoing treatment for suspected dengue. His body was cremated at the Murgao Hindu Samaj crematorium on Sunday.
MMC chairperson Nandadeep Raut informed that he has instructed health officer to initiate steps to curtail the spread of vector borne diseases.
