VASCO: Twenty-seven-year-old rider Narendra Gokhale, from Hali Chandel, Kasarvarnem, Pernem was killed in an accident reported at Cortalim on Sunday night.
According to Verna PI Sandesh Chodankar, Narendra was proceeding from Cortalim to Vasco. The incident took place when Narendra was crossing the Cortalim junction. A car collided with his bike and the impact was such that Narendra sustained grievous injuries.
Police further informed that Narendra died on his way to GMC. Both vehicles were damaged.
Verna police informed that the car driver was arrested and later released on bail.
